Craig King joined Greater Opportunities as its new Execute Director starting September 4th. Craig brings over 25 years of experience in managing disabilities services and this is his third stint as non-profit CEO. He comments that: “It is my great pleasure to be selected by the Board of Directors to lead the team at Greater Opportunities. In my first weeks it has been delightful to meet our 109 consumers and 55 staff, and to become part of an organization that has promoted the independence of people with disabilities for 29 years. A warmly welcoming family atmosphere at Greater Opportunities is shown in the heart-felt caring and dedication of our talented staff, and the smiles of our consumers who are learning skills and living independently in the community.
My priorities as the new Executive Director are to build Greater Opportunities capacities to meet evolving needs, and to promote the organization’s presence and support the community. We are recruiting new board members to strengthen governance, fund raising, building a new website and state-of-the-art practices in our Independent Living, Supported Living, and Day Services Programs. It’s a fun and exciting opportunity to work at Greater Opportunities.”
